I made a model in wings3d and also a texture map for it. When rendered in wings it looks ok.

But when I apply it on the model in my system it has some flaws. Some parts of the texture comes on wrong. I do ofcourse use the UW coord provided with the model. The texture is in png...

I know this a longshot but have any of you had experience with it?...

How it looks

When do I get my makeMyGameAsILike() extension?

HERUKA

I found the problem

A cube has 8 vertexes, each vertex is "shared" by 3 faces. In my obj file for a sube I have 23 texture coords

Take a look at the two faces here the numbers are index to the vertex/texture coords/normals arrays

f 1/3/1 4/9/4 3/10/3 2/4/2
f 1/6/1 5/12/5 8/8/8 4/2/4

My loader runs through each face and does the following.

Face 1: take vertex[1-1] and give it texture[3-1] ... Etc

Face 2. Take Vertex[1-1] and give it texture[5].. Etc

Do you see it I am killing my own UW coordinate.. bah shared vertexes are my bane. Thats why some models were semi good and some sucked..

/me goes away...

When do I get my makeMyGameAsILike() extension?
