Hello, Say I have a match 3 kind of game, match the fruit, candy, whatever.  I don't know how to search for the way to map those small pieces or sprites.  Do I create a visual board and have a virtual one in my code in arrays, update the image on the screen?  Thanks for searching terms.

Yeah, that is right.

Though you might want to search up a graphical representation of Tic-Tac-Toe (Naughts & Crosses) to help you get the idea.
