Hello JGO,

I've been working on a easy to use (Game) Launcher! You can use it for any java game or application.

(The RSS feed displayed here is JGO Smiley)

Older images:
image v0.1

Current features:
  • Checking for updates
  • Downloading and installing updates
  • Execute the game (JAR file)
  • Display the latest news about your game using RSS feed with HTML support
  • Changable icon
  • Easily display webpage

Working on:
  • Options panel and pass options as parameters to game
  • Ideas?

Download: click me

I would like to know what you guys think about it.

Settings/Options and verify files buttons are pretty common in such tools.

Is it possible to display a webpage there instead of the RSS feed?
Thanks for the nice idea, I've added it.

In the image you see a RSS feed (top) and a webpage (bottom).

Feel free to post a suggestion/question/something else  Wink

A "skin system" for the ability to change the appearance and a plugin system would be nice but not necessary.

I haven't spend much time on this project. But what would be useful for this GameLauncher. I currently have given the game programmer the ability to control the layout by giving them access to the JFrame instance.

So my question is: what would you like to see in this project?  Pointing
