That depends. Do games made with engines built off of OpenGL count? It really does make a big difference!

Well LWJGL is just a binding obviously, I just wanted to also include JOGL in this because one forum member specifically loves JOGL, so I didn't want to not include him!

Define "best". Do you mean technological prowess / awesomness / realism? I wouldnt have a clue because I dont really care for that. With regards to style I like the puppygames games a lot. But then again, that has more to do with having a good artist than with development (even though this is an essential precondition).

It does really depend on the artist. Chaz is something of a genius, but we limit ourselves technologically so we don't get too carried away. Battledroid is the most advanced-looking game we've made yet and it's full o' shaders and such (with a lot of input from theagentd). I still think one of the best looking LWJGL games was Tribal Trouble, but then, coincidentally, Chaz did the graphics for that, too. Cas

Is it bad style to mention your own game here? Cause I like the way Caromble! looks too. But in the end it's all a matter of taste I guess.

I find Salem quite good. I liked Megacorps Online too. Sorry for the off topic.

Wakfu is jogl. Beuatiful art more than fancy tech. That is probably the biggest AAA type Java desktop game that I know of.

Why do you still do that "its main competitor (LWJGL)" thing, Julien? Cas

I measure graphical prowess exclusively based on the number of turgid penises rendered. So minecraft?

I'd have to say puppygames productions, Daedalus, and FarSky. I'm proud to say all of these projects have been showcased on JGO

Why do you still do that "its main competitor (LWJGL)" thing, Julien? Why don't the contributors of 2 similar community projects prefer going on developing their APIs separately instead of working together to make a more complete and more reliable framework for audio, media and processing? Oracle has no control on JogAmp. If my sentence bothers you, fix this bug and I'll use another term.

I dont rate Graphics on the amount of pixels and special-effects, but rather after the 'Perfection' of the graphics. And thus I think the Java-games with the best Graphics are: - FarSky - Minecraft
Have a nice day.
