Java games rock!

« Posted 2004-01-19 04:20:28 »

hi all,

I am developing a 2D car racing game for mobile devices with perspective view.I don`t have much ideas about it.

I want some thing like this (please see these URLs)

1) http://www.sumea.com/racingfever/sumea_racingfever7650shot2.gif

2) http://www.sumea.com/racingfever/sumea_racingfever7650shot3.gif

I have some questions

1) what is the
math involved with perspective view

2) how to implement it

3) which type
of map representation will be there (if any) ?

regards

I too want to create a car game like this...I would love some help too...I'm going to search for game code for top gear and top gear 2.  That should give us an idea...If I find any code I'll post the link...of course if you find it before me please do the same.

I dont think you will be needing any real car physics for such a game... Just take a moment and think how you would implement this... I think youre imagining it harder than it really is
