Desktop/HTML5 version available at http://ux-soft.com/dragonrun

Hey everyone, I recently saw a game called FlappyBirds and I decided to make a game similar to it, I called it "Dragon Run"

This differs to FlappyBirds in that you can hold the screen down to keep flying up, and difficulty ramps up every time you pass an obstacle (Up to 100 times) and from what my friends have told me it plays much harder than that game.

Click to Play

Thank you LibGDX <3

Thanks man. You just won me a bet!

I KNEW that people would remake flappy bird. Hit game is so simple to code, why not?

Good luck w/ it!

Behold! A Flappy Bird ancestor!
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/line-birds/id438084823?mt=8

Edit: Yes, I also took that challenge upon myself. It took about 2 hours (just downloaded art assets) to code a near replica of flappy birds.

Most apps on the Apple store are clone, remakes, or rip-offs of other apps. It's ridiculous, and then there are stories of people who can't get original apps on the store because of some stupid reason.

Candy Crush Saga is also not an original game. I have read an article about King.com copying games almost 1:1 and there is a game from (I think) 2007, which is almost looking 100% similar to Candy Crush Saga. And it's not only Candy Crush Saga...
(I searched for the article the last 10 minutes or so... I should really start to make bookmars..)

Jesus Christ i just read that article, what a bunch of dicks. Just shows money changes you. I bet they never ever thought about doing things like that before they started racking in the cash.

Copyrighting the word candy? That is just shite, they have made half a billion dollars with candy crush, who cares if someone clones it, it's just bewjeled with some shiny graphics.

You may be rich (if you sell it). Flappy bird is being taken off the market both on the market itself and its copyright Wink http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/gaming/2014/02/08/flappy-bird-removed/5315655/

If I made you laugh, helped you at all, or did something cool, I only ask that you smash that appreciate button with your nose.

I find this impossible to play.. The moment you see next pillar, it is already to late, because acceleration is too extreme. It is very slow at start, and very fast when it picks up. Maybe its just because I'm bad at this game Cheesy

Maybe I'm just being picky, though shouldn't the highest score change when you beat your previous highest score?

Took me 30 minutes to get that...  Clueless

By the way, I love the title of the webpage. Cheesy

Why are all OpenGL tutorials written in Brainf**k?

It does update the best, but it doesn't display it until the next death Smiley

Haha, its not impossible it just takes skill Smiley

It speeds up as you get a better and better score. (there is a limit though, and this game is always possible, no matter what score you get - it won't suddenly go to a point where the acceleration is too high it makes it impossible)
