PD Day, or Personal Doomsday is a multi-platform, action, sandbox game, for Mac, Linux and Windows platforms. I plan on making it a modular system. So if you wanted to update the shader program, just take a updated or modified shader program, and put it in the game's plugin directory. So that makes modding easier than ever. The game play features are still being debated by our semi-hostile design team. But it is going to be a 2D action, open-world, sandbox, destruction simulator. With butts. Its goddamn Free! For all systems! (Linux, Windows, and Mac). In fact, it's being developed on Ubuntu. But for now, It is still neck-deep in errors, so for now, you wait.

How far along us this? You'd get more feedback on this forum if there was something to look at or mess with!

Someone will always be offended with what you say, it's a fact of life. The sooner you learn to not care about those few people that will be offended, the better.

No, you should care because offended people don't buy your game.

There will always be offended people, if you try to comfort everyone you will ultimately fail.

Wait, so because the acronym of your game title, is an acronym of something else in a foreign language, you ought to change it? That would rule out every single game name imaginable.

It is a lousy name. I was planning to change it from the start. Any ideas?

You could go along the same lines as your current name, e.g.: - My D-Day (full titleL My DoomsDay): a game from the perspective of someone who's day has gone to hell (doom)

I don't think you should be worried about the name.. You didn't even make a playable game yet.

Hmmmmm. I really have no idea what the game is about from just reading, but I can tell you the post looks really good. Really really good.
Anyways, I have a few concerns:
Have you made any games before? Because a 3D Java game is way to big of a project for a beginner. Trust me I'm a beginner too!
Can you git brah? But seriously, since you contacted me that question has been floating in my head. If you can't use git, us working as a team to program a game is damn near impossible.

Yeah, I was making it in 3D for a long time, until I got allot of errors with lighting I didn't know how to fix. So it is 2D now. No, I don't know how, but I am learning.

Just posted the source code under the "Stalk Us" section, it still isn't playable. But I have the lighting engine finished.

If anyone knows anything of JBox2D we would really appreciate a nice little post about where to go to find some decent resources on the topic.
