Depends. If your resources folder isn't part of the build path then the string you load the sound file by should be something like "res/whatever/something.wav", if otherwise, it would be "/whatever/something.wav" AFAIK.

While I said learning utilities is bad in competitions like this, maybe you could try EasyOGG?
I'd rather you PM me instead of filling up the thread with stack traces

My favorite bug so far! The player and zombies leave behind a trail of blood and guts, which kinda looks cool Wink

No, it's not.

Remember: You only get one.

There is only one real potato.

Well, it seems you know your game better than I do! Congrats Wink

Sounds cool though, how do you figure out what potato is real?

Edit:
Sound works now! I converted my wav files over to ogg and it works beautifully Smiley Almost done (sort of!).

The amount of Potatoe suggestions during DV's Stream was reidculous. Suprised someone used a game formed around "One Potatoe"

This has gotten pretty crazy.

Just wait until I implement the ability to pelt enemies with potatoes until they die.

My collision detection is really being eaten alive by a bug that I can't pinpoint. Luckily collision isn't absolutely necessary, but it does feel and look weird to be able to walk on stone tiles!

So, I'm taking a little break from the development side of things, and I started thinking about packaging everything up. Should I even worry about applets? It seems like it would be a nice way to play a game, but with all the security stuff... plus it looks like a pain to get everything set up. Opinions?

I just took a look at my code, and I realised: When you keep seeing 'potato' in your code, you know you're doing something silly.

Here's a little bit I cut out.

// SNIP
               if(fakepotatoes >= 60 && timer-- <= 0)
               {
                  PotatOne.main.setNextScreen(tw1);
                  PotatOne.main.setNextScreen(tw2);
                  PotatOne.main.setNextScreen(tw3);
                  np3.start();
                  PotatOne.main.setNextScreen(np3);
                  stage = END;
               }
            }
            break;
      }
   }

   public void dropPotato()
   {
      if(potatree)
         PotatOne.main.em.add(new Potato(16 + RandomUtils.rInt(5), 19 + RandomUtils.rInt(3)));
   }

Don't even ask what some of the variables are supposed to mean. It's getting really ugly now.

Is it sad that I just got entity collision done?

I think I might end up entering the jam if it becomes too late.

Also, on another note, if you get cranky when you have a lack of sleep, force yourself to go to bed, don't stay up any longer unless it's urgent.
I had two people block me on Skype the other night.

Morning of Day 3. (I still only get 2 days, just those two days are spread over three)

I've got a bit of work to do, but I may even have enough time left over to add music.

I'm pretty much done Smiley Polishing up the menus and adding a simple end game scenario, and then my first Ludum Dare is completed!

Anyone have screenshots to share?
