What break brick game exists with a story ?

None, for a reason.

2 people just posted serious and sympathetic replies, trying to help you, for the 100th time.

You don't need all the fancy shit you are implementing, it is an old style arcade game going back decades. No one cares about fancy installers, custom maps or anything else for that matter.

They want to hit play, break some bricks and then restart or quit. Simple as that.

It's time you take the advice and stop being a stubborn idiot. You clearly have the programming skillset but not the attitude to match it. If you keep this up, anything you make will crash and burn like this mess.

Yuri, there is clearly a language barrier.

We do not want more features.
There are too many features.
These complicated features are not what we want.
We wanted a simple game.

Hmmm... Maybe I was wrong about my assessment. Users... are always going to say your program isn't doing enough.

Yuri, maybe it'd be a lot less painful for you if you stuck to making applications. Systems, like the ones you've made for networking and security, are actually important for those who are trying to have online score systems.

Games, are a little bit different than applications. The more you add to a game, the harder it is for users to get into the game. No matter how you slice it Yuri, you have to make your entry as painless to your user base as you can. I have been looking at your logs, and you have been adding the features you said you would. You tried to improve graphics, add game play elements, and even allow others to edit the game...

One problem...

As I said earlier, it is too late because you already shattered your fan base. All that is important to your fan base now is two things.

1) How fast can I get into the game?
2) How different is it from other Brick Breaker clones?

Sadly, since your user base has lost its patience, most won't get past #1 if it takes longer than 15 seconds to get in the game. For those who get to #2, if they can't see any improvement from the last game they will quit. As you can see, they will never get to see your "level editor" or your multi-player elements because they don't "trust" that you care about them anymore.

The most important skills a game developer needs is perseverance and the ability to listen. It is obvious to me that you can program, but to make games you have to be willing to see past all the s**t talk in order to improve your experience. It doesn't help that each user has a different environment and each player enjoys differently.

Hence, here is another sad story of a developer that removes his game because of a little bad publicity. I wonder if this really is the end of this tale...

This program does too much.

I see... Thanks to you ctommi, but like you said, who will care if i take back the developpement of the game.

If you want to know, i made something in the launcher. Something that will (in my opinion) make users never come back : I included possiblity of playing my other games and launch them directly in the launhcer. That means that all SLDT games will be accessible in the launcher when the launcher will be published.

Yet another overly complicated thing the user does not want, no one wants a launcher for a brick break style game........

Minecraft never had a proper launcher for donkeys and no one cared.

I've done that because i'm preparing a game that i think will not be realeased on these forums. This game is called YuriMMO ! Yes, you said that many times that i'm not enough good to make 3D MMO games. Well, you will take that back in your face...

On this goodbye ; will never come back.

I never said that at any point, in fact I actually praised your coding ability. I think you could make a game, you can't design a game or be a project leader but you certainly could code following a descriptor.

If you don't want to come back then fine, shove it. If you want to be like that.

Your ignorance will lead you no where.

I request this thread gets locked tbh, it no longer has an op or content besides people arguing and being negative.
