Hey guys im currently working on a pokemong orpg using JavaFX the thread is currently under construction until i find a graphics designer

Pokemon Frontier will start off with the Orange Islands series as GameFreak has never created a rom off of that season i have decided to make the game interesting by starting there, the game will be based off of BP (BattlePoints) With these battle points you will be able to unlock a road to finding great treasures and legendary pokemon, throughout the game once reaching the end you will find the Battle Frontier which will be a competitive region itself filled with the strongest trainers out there!

I hope you have backup assets and concepts in the event of a Cease and Desist letter.

Not really, if we are issued a Cease and Desist letter then we will do just that, we're using this project to learn and develop our engine for future games. We're going to do everything we can to protect us from anything short of a DMCA, however.

The best person you could possibly be is yourself.

Uh, seems interesting.  Though I wonder what you plan to do differently--how you intend to change up the gameplay a bit so it's not just like the dozens of others, y'know?

Need an amateur composer for your project? I charge $3~ (depending on the length) a song, and need the practice. Check out examples here: https://soundcloud.com/literature-corner

There's no point in recreating a game if you're going to change how the game is played.
The main difference is we're not just taking a random ROM and tossing some networking capabilities on it, this is just our learning project. We're doing all of the graphical designs ourself.

I would play it if you add some gta feeling.
For example dominating the streets with your trainer homies. I would love to do a Charizard drive-by or to farm civilians to get some rare candy Grin
Or maybe you could create "renvenge of the pokemons" or "pokewarfare" Roll Eyes
To be serious, I really like your graphics but I am not sure if it wouldn't be better to spend your time on something that you can use afterwards. Creating assets for a game you will never release isn't that effective.
But as long as you enjoy creating it, just go for it  Smiley

Work on it, release it with much caution, but don't ever sell it, because you will end up with either a lawsuit or a very nice warning telling you to take the game down.
