Hello everyone!

I wanted to share my first game with you.
"Scary Copter - Halloween Flight" is pretty simple, but fun to play.
Game is based on well-known helicopter game idea, but with Halloween graphic and sound so it fits perfectly for its relase date on Google Play Wink
Just fly as far as you can through tunnel, dont crash on walls and avoid pumpkins on your way.

Goals that i wanted to achieve, were:
- decent look and sound - there is just to many games on Google Play, that have nice gameplay, but with crappy look. Simple games deserve good look too. So, im not artist, but i did my best to make gfx look nice and dont hurt eyes. Sounds aren't bad too. Music is made by DST (nosoapradio.us), a guy who shares a lot of his tracks for free, for anyone to use in games.
- fun gameplay. Game is fast and dynamic, so it needs responsive and predictable flight model. I put much attention into it, and i think it worked pretty good. With a bit of training flight can be realy smooth and precise.

Game is made with libGDX.

There is some things i would like to add, and some things that i would like to fix, but atm game is fully playable, so everyone is welcome to download and play a bit.

I'll apreciate any opinions and suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Limbo style. wow!
Actually i wasn't thinking about Limbo, while doing graphic for Scary Copter. I just realised, it will be much easier for me to create nice silhouettes, than to create fully coloured gfx.  I covered my lack of graphic skill that way Wink
Anyway, i take your comment as huge compliment, thanks a lot Smiley

And seismic - not bad, not bad at all Smiley What device do you use?
My personal feeling is, that is a bit easier to gain more points on bigger screens. Virtual game resolution is constant, 800x480, so theoreticaly it doesnt matter, but  sometimes you avoid crash just by pixels and its easier to control that minimal distance when your screen is big.
I'm thinking about implementing Swarm online leaderboard, so players can compare their best scores with other 20 people from all arround the world, who also downloaded the game  Grin

Thanks just tried again but only got to about 500 hehe. Playing this on a Galaxy S3.
Also do you monetize this? Can't remember seeing any ads.

Nothing wrong with silhouettes, they fit game perfectly! Very solid style, gotta love it!

I tested with Nexus 7, works fine. Scored only ~500. Smiley

Thanks Smiley

About monetizing. There is one adMob banner in top right corner. It doesn't show every time though. It depends on country i guess, there just are regions, where there is less ads scheduled for displaying.
If i would have other apps, i could create so called "home ads" pointing to my other games. AdMob would display it for free, if there would be no commerciall ads to show. But now i dont have home ads, so adMob sometimes shows nothing... Maybye thats why you didnt noticed it.
To realy monetize app, thousands of people, that are actually playing is needed though. For now download counter stuck under 50, ads in my game were displayed less than 1000 times, of which i collected whole 10 clicks. Clicks value differs between countries too. I earned something around 0.5$ Tongue I hope it will grow a bit in future...

I was playing it on an old Droid X I had handy, and I was trying to install Cyanogenmod last night, but I bricked it and then the battery died whilst trying to restore an older image, so now I have a bricked phone on my hands that can't be charged because it only boots into the bootloader, and batteries don't charge in the bootloader. Looks like I'm ghetto rigging a charger for my battery tonight!

Long story short, I can't see my high score Wink

I've fixed it Tongue
v1.1 is in Play Store. I integrated Swarm leaderboard and achievements, so now players can compare their scores with other people. Everyone is welcome to join the fun Smiley

You know I really hate copter games and usually avoid them but I had to download it and give it a whirl.
Like others, I like the graffix, gameplay is smooth even when animating the little explosion at the end. Solid work.
