This is a sequel to a (very embarrassing) game I made, which was zero player, no sound, java 2D, and at the time, I did not know it could not work on other computers. Cranky

It was my first game, so it is important to me that I get the ball rolling on this one. This time round, I made the engine to fill in EVERYTHING my prototype was missing(aside multiplayer, that's for another time).

This will be a sandbox type game, where you mine asteroids, upgrade your ship, have diplomacy, trade, build, etc... as explained in the video.
                       <a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/JaVdhVOrYIo?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;start=" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/JaVdhVOrYIo?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;start=</a>
Art work is DEFINITELY a work in progress, as you can see.

Any suggestions for names for the game would be most appreciated, also let me know what you think.

EDIT: If this thread gets archived, please look over to my YT channel to see if there is or is not any updates. If there are no updates, I've likely abandoned the project, or I am not developing it for a while. Smiley

UPDATE: I am working on a different project, using the same engine, so, a small break from this for now.

Well compared your description of your first game, I'd say this is a step up, especially for a second game! Congratz and well done!

Thanks, but I will say these forums have really helped on the bug squashing, I'd be lost without it.
