Kev,

I really love your artstyle, keep the good work comming! I wish I could sprite that well, because I am currently making a game in the same style as you!

Thanks for the feedback folks, trying to apply it as I go along.

Did some more work on the above ground tileset:

Feedback welcome as always,

You're getting seriously good at this spriting lark. That ogre/giant is fantastic!
Nowt wrong with sub-pixel animation.

I'd suggest to try and avoid obscuring the face too much in the flipped sprites (referring to the little green fella here - that axe blocks most of his face).

Is the green-faced witch based on Grotbags?

Sorry, but the mud pad looks not so pleasant (to me). The part at top gets cut off, what results in a straight line.. Also, make 2 tiles and it doesn't look tiled after all Smiley

This is AWESOME!

Just one suggestion I have:

Please make sure to remove the "gap" of content where lots and lots of grinding is required to advance. In LOY (1) I'm sort of stuck in the area of level 18 to twenty-something, with no idea on what I should do or where I should go to advance.

I'm not a grinder in any RPG game, much less in one where there isn't much action or skill required.

Here we go with a very early demo video:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/0PKOWbFYJfA?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;start=" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/0PKOWbFYJfA?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;start=</a>

It's all very early but it's starting to work a few days in now. Smiley

"The game is still turn based"
So this game will not be turn-based like LOY1? That would be great Cheesy

And about the rain, here a nice fix (connection between textures (loopable) and maybe even 2 different textures):

The weather effects are neat. I will say, I think the snow is a bit heavy and kind of makes it hard to see. Maybe consider making the flakes smaller, or lowering their alpha.

I love the lighting and the weather effects.  Shocked
Some torches in the dungeon would be very nice with the lighting effect.

Cant wait to try it out.

With 'still' I think he means 'just like in LOY1' Wink

Silly question but: Why?  Watching the video above, the game looks like it would be perfectly happy running in real time...?

And since you mention Ouya, I just have to say that a four-player Gauntlet-style LoY would be a dream come true. Grin

Distractions aside, the game so far looks magnificent. Smiley
