Is there anything espeically beneficial about tumblr for creating a devblog there?

I've got my not-so-well-maintained devblog on wordpress, that is quite serviceable I guess.

Tumblr have more "closed" structure, is much easier and have some social networking features - it is like choosing console (Tumblr) or PC (Wordpress).

I hacked together an HTML front-end on my site for a Wordpress blog (love that you can do that by the way). Doesn't really have anything much on it at the moment, but I'm hoping to have more stuff on there in the near future. Your welcome to poke around zman3359.info/blog/

That new theme looks really good. Clean and simple. A lot better than the old one imo.

It's more of a like a corner where you dump all of your projects and what not. Works great as an auxiliary CV too.

Boring life garbage is luckily stored in cesspools like facebook.

My personal blog is mentioned in my signature below, I use Wordpress.com (don't make a confusion with Wordpress.org), I'll have to hack a bit in order to embed my videos stored into GNU Mediagoblin. I use a single blog for everything and as a development blog too. I have to admit that I have written a lot since 2010. jonjava reminds me that I have to add my CV into it as I don't want to pay for Viadeo and LinkedIn.

You write in two languages at once? sure lot of work to do.

Yes, I write in French (my mother tongue) and in English, about 91% of my articles have been translated. I spend a lot of time in illustrating my articles with photos and videos.

I have a little blog on my GitHub Page here.  I plan on writing on it, but it takes me two or three hours whenever I do which I am normally not up for.

I've just given it a look, you claim that C# is a clone of Java, I would rather say that it is a bad clone of Java.

C# being a clone of Java is already an insult (not that I disagree), but you dont have to jam your knife into it, Julien =D

I did also say "C# seemed like a complete clone of Java," which by saying the word seemed meant that when I first saw and used C# I saw it as a clone of Java made only for Windows.  Once I used it for awhile I realized it was not a clone and that it can work on other platforms besides Windows.

Microsoft .NET works only under Windows even though it includes versions for mobiles and consoles, not just for computers. Mono .NET implementation is not as complete as Microsoft .NET.

The main problems with Mono are that it lacks WPF and MoonLight is not completely implemented. You can use Winforms though.

The odd reason your program didn't work on a SMART Board is maybe that your program didn't support touch?

I have no way to find out now.  It isn't worth looking into anyway, because I'm not really going to use that program again.  I may fix up the style, but besides that I doubt I'll add anything.

Offtopic, but SMART boards are seriously pieces of junk. Most classrooms in my school have them, but the teachers just use the whiteboard Wink

We only use them for powerpoints  the teacher is lazy and doesn't want to walk 10 ft

My school is the same as above.  Whiteboards seem to be used a lot more, but SMART Boards are always used with power points to prevent walking.
