Hello People!

Recently I've been modding and mapping for Doom a lot, so I figured, "Why not make this in Java?", so this project started:


The game itself is based off of an old engine I started making a long while back. It's been a great learning project to understand how raycasting engine and PBP engines work, and how everything is built in a pseudo-3D Engine.

Feel free to leave any thoughts or suggestions, I appreciate them all Cheesy

Here's all of the things I've added so far:
  • A HUD, Title Screen, ETC.
  • 3 Weapons: The fist, the shotgun, and the pistol.
  • 2 Mobs: The Imp and the Zombieman
Many many more things to come Cheesy

In the middle.

I will be adding mouse support here soon, so you can look around with that (obviously not on the y axis, as it's a pseudo3D engine), and the controls are already WASD.

I will of course be adding the old controls too, Wink

Was going to say that it looks like Doom :p Not much of a 3D perspective game maker myself, but the progress sure looks promising. Just don't put too much ****s in there ok?

I have this rank until the end of September. It's punishment for spamming, in my case. Wesley.laferriere was effected by it aswell.

You might be waiting quite a while.
I left the USB stick with the code at a friends house, so for now Pixel-Space has been my primary focus.

Making 3D-ish games is hard.  Stare

I should also add, I HAVE worked on the game more from when I started this thread, if I can find any screenshots of what I had I'll send them.
I had hard-drive issues in the time that I was working on this, so 90% of the code for all of my projects were wiped. Luckily I got the code back for Pixel-Space, but the rest are all in the gutter.
