This game does not work for me. I downloaded the game once. I unzipped it and ran the jar file. It gave me a black screen and then crashed. I then tried to do it on the command line, but it couldn't find the jarfile. I then downloaded the game again. I unzipped it and ran the game. The main screen (or whatever it is) popped up. But, the game was lagging a lot, even though it said its fps was 60. It then crashed when i tried to start a new game.
If this is made in java 1.8 +, then that is the answer, as i haven't updated yet (persecutioncomplex).

Well, maybe you ran it wrong. Let me try it... Should only take a second.

There. I ran the version, and it worked... Anyone else having problems? Perhaps you ran it wrong? I mean, I ran it, and it starts at 8fps for millisecond, then it just jumps to 60fps. My computer sucks as far as processing, and graphics (Intel 3000 Hd FTW), so it can't be a performance issue. Wait until someone else comes up with this issue. I'll try to get my freind to do it...

Oh, and friend had the same problem. I have no idea what it is... Can you run with cmd again? Perhaps you made the mistake I said before.

Looks like it's trying to load from the local machine, which would explain why it works on your own PC, but not someone else's.

Well, I tried it myself, it ran once just fine, now I can't run it again because of that same error. So, there's that.

OH! I know the problem, or at least what is causing the inconsistancy. At start, it randomly chooses the player type. If it is a wizard, the gun type is not a firearm. It is a DevelopersWandOfFreakinAwesome gun type. Thus the inconsistancy. Just run a few times, until you get to be a wizard. Then enjoy easter egg goodness. Meantime, I will work on a patch.

This seems to be an issue with the file name that does not match the class name (FireArm vs Firearm) ... I guess Troncoso and masteryoom are running the game under linux Smiley

The file name has to match the class name, including case. That's all.

No, I mean what would make it 8 bit? Look here: http://deadpixelsthegame.com/#Info.
Their slogan is 8 bit, and they are obviously 16 bit. Yes, nothing wrong with it, but I don't see the irony here...
