hello everyone!

I've wanted to create a 3d game but I had no idea how to make one until I discovered lwjgl.
Only one problem , they are talking a lot about openGL and I didn't knew what that was so I googeld it.
Now I kinda know what it is , but I don't know how to use it .. when I see some OpenGL code I've no clue what it does and stuff like that ..

So basicly the question is: how can I use openGL , are there any tutorials I can follow ? or a good book ?

Sorry for my terrible english

I think LWJGL's wiki is a good place to start, there are also a lot of tutorials on this site, look at the "Articles & tutorials" page. You could also have a look at this online book, mind that they cover the topics in C++.

Also if your not very fond of reading, I would highly recommend The Coding Universe's tutorials.

At last take a look at ra4king's post here, it covers how you should step forward in the world of Java game development.

Good luck!

Good resources, but start with 2d. Don't bite off more than you can chew.

For that online book, I ported the C++ code to Java here.

@ra4king Superawesome! I followed you on Bitbucket a couple of days ago, weird that I didn't remember to post your repository in the reply. (PS: I guess you need a minimum rank for giving medals? The "appreciate" button isn't next to the posts)
