Hi Guys,
Just wondering if any of you have heard of www.ninite.com
I recently bought a new computer and have been trying bring some dead computers back to life. It's been a big hassle installing programs but this ninite program does it for you. I think it's pretty nifty.
Happy new year!
Keith

That's pretty sweet.

Seeing how great ubuntu software center works, and how often I reinstall windows machines, I should have thought of this.

Ha! I've been using Ninite since it was called GetVolery back in 2009!

Even if you are installing 1 thing only, its usually better to go to ninite, because it automatically "unchecks" all the 'adware' and 'toolbars' that some of those programs will try to install.

Although the only downside is lack of advanced options, 99% of time, that's fine.

Yeah that lack of advanced options sucks, sometimes I want to rename the folder they are installed to Sad

If you can't set the install folder, that's a total deal breaker.  I never install stuff to Program Files, everything goes in C:\apps instead
