I'm surprised no one has mentioned di.fm. They have good "techno" radio (dub, house, dnb, glitch, etc.)

Much japanese music.
Game Soundtracks (eg Devil May Cry 3 & 4, Yakuza 3 & 4, Persona 3 & 4, Final Fantasy's, Metal Gear)
Movie Soundtracks
Anime Soundtracks

I hate mainstream music extraordinarily in general.

PIXIES.

Funny. I was just entering this thread to say: "If the pixies haven't been mentioned, then you're all a bunch of unwashed heathens.".  I guess I don't need to say that after-all.

C418 and EmileVanKrieken's music, especially aether soundtrack. Also love 8- and 16-bit game soundtracks, plus a few others

Busy between school, work, life, games, programming and general screwing around.
If you'd like some pixel art for your game, send me a PM, i'll see what I can do.

I just listened 34 hours (straight) to this streaming radio station:

Programming was never so delightful. Now I have to get my productive ass to bed.

It seems there is a relation between 'advancing age' and the need for silence to concentrate? persecutioncomplex

yeah I guess you're right. I'm at 37. Anyway with kids around is almost impossible to have silence. And when they go to bed I'm tired and can't even program a line...

Perhaps related: as folks get older, they are more likely to listen to talk or news radio than music--or at least, that has been my observation. (Though I never do this while coding.)

I'm also reminded of the adult saying to the kid: "a place for everything and everything in its place"--which I think may have more to do with adults' degrading memory than kids lack of sense of order.

So, maybe there is an age-related physiological/cognitive basis.
