A little while ago, I begun to develop a single player dungeon crawler game. The game is planned to be for my major school project for year 12. To give a bit more of a challenge I decided I would try and implement multiplayer into it. After getting through bit of the coding for single player and started to work on multiplayer I realised how inefficient the game engine was for multiplayer, the tiny little things I would implement I realised I needed to add a whole a lot more to get it to even work online.

Because I got over having to change the whole code and get it working (I would upload the server version that is hooked up to my VPS, but for some reason it then makes the single player crashed, your not missing out on much without the multiplayer though)  I decided to completely redo the game, (copying basic files So I don't need to completely restart).

controls:
W, A, S, D - moves the character
Space - attacks entity within range
left click - spawns some random particles, why? because I can.
Escape - goes back
f4 - spawns more mobs

The collision detection pretty much does not exist, its pretty much their to stop the entity's to move outside of the screen.

This thread will be updated to a new version with the recoded version has a playable version. The game could probably change a little too while in development, so might not be completely a dungeon crawler.

NOTE: the graphics are not mine they are placeholders that I found of the Internet, my art skills are extremely horrible, I take programmer art to a new level XD the only things that are mine are the buttons, achievements and the circular particle

I hit F4 till my arm got tired, but your game didn't run any slower despite all the entities. Seems solid so far !  Smiley

Thanks Smiley I could probably easily improve the rendering but at the moment even on our school computers I can get decent amount before it begins to drop. In the future when I'm better at VBO's I'll change it to them Smiley
