Hello everybody my name is Ryan Harrington (krooked590) and I just wanted to show you all the project that I started a few days ago called Church Wars 2D. This game is based upon the older style of games for the snes such as Zelda and Final Fantasy. The video that I am going to post is just a concept of how I want the character creation to work. This is still a VERY VERY VERY early work in progress so everything you see is subject to change. I am going to working on this game mainly by myself but I assure you that I will be working on this game full time and I won't stop until it is as epic as I can make it. My future plans for this game are to make it completely free and also let people have a copy of the server side so people can set up their own servers just like how Minecraft does it. I'm not 100% sure will all the details but just something that I have planned for the future. Here is a link to my channel where there is more information on the game and I will be posting the development process every time I complete a milestone. www.vimeo.com/sosmedia

If you have any questions/comments/concerns/suggestions feel free to email me either krooked590@gmail.com or sosmediadesigns@gmail.com

Looks like a great idea! Created a vimeo account just to follow it, will be extremely interested in how you plan on networking this, and would love to see regular source posts!  I would willing to help out it you need anything. Not good at art though D=]  I would strongly encourage something like github though!

Looks cool. What engine/library are you using? Or just Java2D?

currently only java2d. when things start getting heavy (if they do) then i will move to lwjgl and slick2d but for now I am just trying to see how far i can get with writing things from scratch. I will be trying to keep as active as possible since i believe in letting the community know whats going on from the very beggining, that way I can get suggestions and feed back from basically the start. as for help, if anyone wants to help with anything just let me know and we can discuss stuff. I also have a github for this project i just haven't pushed anything there yet. i will start doing that more frequently. In the coming weeks I will be setting up a site and all that other fancy jazz so it is easier to follow development and read more about the story/game play. Thanks for looking Smiley
