Hey there Java Developers of the World!  persecutioncomplex

Some of you may have already heard, most of you probably not, but we've finally released the Achievements System we've been working on. We've supported Java downloadables and applets for quite a while on our site, so of course we wouldn't leave you guys out when we made our Achievements System.

We're pretty excited to have people messing around with it and giving us some feedback and working together with the indie community to make it something awesome that can be used by everybody!

Features? You want the features?

- Trophies (with hidden trophy support)
- High Sores (with custom score strings, multiple leaderboards, and guest scoring)
- Data Storage (basically a cloud storage system for any game -- save games, levels, extra stats, anything)
- Game Sessions and Player Status (visibility into who's playing your game, and when, and for how long)

The current languages and tools that we currently support through community written APIs and Libraries are...

- Java (of course!)
- C++
- ActionScript 3
- Game Maker
- Unity C#
- Construct Classic
- PHP

Anyway, if you want, you can check it out, as well as some games already using it, here: http://gamejolt.com/developers/achievements-new/

Would love feedback, suggestions, praise, hate, etc.

Thanks guys!

Has been around for a while and its cool.
Although, I think you can only add free games, nothing to sell...

Games published by our own members! Check 'em out!

Cero's right, it's only freeware games at the moment.

And not yet for Construct 2, ReBirth. Mainly because Game Jolt doesn't support HTML games yet. We wanted to wait and do a whole rewrite of how games are managed on the site before adding HTML games support. Rather than uploading a type of game (Java, Downloadable, Flash, etc.) you will just add a game, and then manage distributions of that game. So you can add a certain game and throw up a Java Applet version to play in browser, and then a downloadable version that they can play on their desktop, and maybe an Android version for their phone, all within the same game page.

Obviously a library written in JavaScript would be pretty easy, though, so expect one fairly soon.  Cheesy
