A new level is now available in the Challenge mode ! The Tower ! And you won't make a time like 3.49 (which is really impressive by the way!) I fixed some minor bugs (not the lava weird thing ). Now, you can also retry automatically a Challenge level by pressing "R" key. Have fun !

That would be really surprising... On my opinion, it's not possible, but the 3.49 really impressed me, so who knows..

It's all about never touching the floor and clicking the next squares while in the air Mike EDIT: With my current way I can make it under 20 seconds quite easily (19.4 as best), but for beating your time of 15.16 I need to find another way... EDIT2: Found a better way, 14.18. I think it's possible to get under 10 using my current way if I hit all clicks

I personally don't really find the tower challenge very much fun. I got to the top where I could see the door (not through the door!), but I can't be bothered to try to figure out such a complicated path. There is no real feeling of progress or any reward system in this game mode. It feels like a frustrating grind. I did manage 3rd on the first challenge, which seemed a lot more accessible but still a grind. Maybe this game mode could be made more interesting somehow? I'd like to see the game have more puzzle elements. Ahhh what happened... suddenly the game is gittery and randomly lagging for me
Is that where you try to check in some files but bork everything up and spend hours trying to fix it?

I've no idea what that means. Is the motion blur new?
edit: yeah it's only lagging when I'm in a boost. Is there anyway I can turn the blur off when I'm boosting? It makes it really difficult to click the blocks, though maybe it's just my PC

Blur Motion was added a month ago. I reduced the effect. But it seems that nobody likes it, so I'm gonna remove it next time. @Nate: Of course the game suffers from a lack of reward, progression and interactive objects. I have plenty of ideas to bring to this game. Yet, on my opinion, this game doesn't have the potential to become a great game. So I'd rather spend my time on another project that seems more interesting to me with a lot more of potential. Despite of that, I take into account for the next Challenge levels the fact that you find this level less fun, because even though my consideration, I want it to be fun.

Interesting notion, given how much people here like it. And since Portal is so successful...

My feedback was just that I prefer the regular game over the challenges and that I'd like to see more puzzle elements.

I just found many glitches in your game, especially in Challenge: - Starting a challenge by going through the door to get the timer started, then hitting escape -> Menu -> Play challenge, doesn't reset the timer. This glitch is demonstrated by my #5 placement in the leaderboards: as soon as I crossed the door, I started the challenge again after going to the Menu. - After repeating #1 many times, the timer simply refused to start and was stuck at 0:0, even after I completed the challenge and got to the end. Here's a screencap of it, which also shows some visual glitches with the far wall too.- Story mode, after the above glitches, started in the middle of space, not in the first room. I just flew around in the stars :S - Footsteps aren't stopped when going in menu Really good game though!

Thanks ra4king for your feedback. Interesting glitches to fix for next release. By the way, the weird lines that I can see on your screenshot are due to mipmap support. If your computer does not support openGL3.0, mipmaping is removed so you can play anyway, but graphics quality is poor.

I have OpenGL 4.2 with my GTX 580 so maybe you don't have mipmapping setup right?

Curious what do you so special with mipmapping that it requires GL 3.0? This is so basic feature it was always supported by GPUs and graphics of the game don't look that it needs anything special...? Nice game, btw

glGenerateMipmap I'm guessing. Doing it with GLU is ... not pleasant.

glGenerateMipmap I'm guessing. Doing it with GLU is ... not pleasant. No need for GL3 for that, you can use these two functions instead: glGenerateMipmapEXT from EXT_framebuffer_object extension or glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_GENERATE_MIPMAP, GL_TRUE), that's GL 1.4 stuff

I got the first record back but I found two bugs, one is that the rankings for the hallways is reset or something. The second one makes it impossible to play at the moment, when you hold down several keys when clicking on a orange square then the arrow keys stop working for a while (sometimes until you land, sometimes until you release them and so on).

Hi everyone ! I guess this is it! Final level!! This Challenge level is quite different from the two others. I also fixed some bugs: timer still running after relaunching the level, step sound while navigating in the menu and some weird start point placement after choosing to replay level 0. This game was a really good introduction to OpenGL API using LWJGL for me. I never saw it as a big project, and I must say I went really farther than I expected. I now need to spend my full (free) time on my next project which will be the big one for me. I hope you 'll enjoy this last level!

Any idea why my best time on the hallway disappeared? (EDIT: I made a better time now, but I wonder why my old top time was gone all of a sudden).
Also, The bridge was fun, I think the minimum time is somewhere around 12 seconds (no sub 10 second time due to the long drop and tunnel).
