We are currently looking for one or more experienced programmers to contribute to a ground-breaking unannounced project.

Responsibilities:
You will be part of a small, focused team creating a major next-generation online game in Java. Your contributions will extend across the project based on your skills and talents. You will be expected to participate in translating design requirements into a robust software architecture, and to balance the requirements of fast development, refactoring, and professional software engineering methods.

Requirements:
Significant professional experience in Java and thorough understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns. Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fun, fast-changing, team-oriented, rapid development environment. Knowledge of and experience in at least one of the following areas:
- highly usable graphical user interfaces
- developmental, cognitive, and/or social psychology
- 3D engine development (JOGL preferred)
- Agent-based modeling and artificial intelligence

BS in Computer Science or related field preferred.

This is a part-time to full-time contract position with the potential to become full-time with benefis in the near future. This position has significant potential for personal and professional growth and for extending the state of the art in game design and development.

Some telecommuting from within the Austin, Texas area is possible.
