I'm going to do it this time. It's like my 5th LD and my first jam. I'll be working with an artist and a musician.

Personally, I've got ideas a couple of ideas that cover several of the options. But yeah, the 'Build it, then use it' seems like it could be the most fun..

I wasn't so fond of "Artificial life" either, but I think that I have a nice idea for that now.

Simulating living stuff is fun to program but difficult to get fun in such a short time, at least if you ask me

I'm super mad at this choice. They had "Build it, then use it", they had "castles in the sky", they had freaking "evolution"! But NOOOOOOOOO some idiots decided to go and vote for Tiny World

However, I think I like what I've come up with during my class on System Management. xD

Anyways, I am going to create a game that is inspired by that Futurama episode where Bender is floating is space and having a small world with tiny humans on him.

I upvoted tiny world.

Pro-tip: come up with like 3 game ideas beforehand, and then just adapt one of them to the theme. If the theme turns out to be one that doesn't inspire ideas, then you're not screwed. (this is what I did for this one)

I have been trying to register for LD for weeks.  I've tried 3 different emails and log in IDs and I never get the confirmation email.  I've been on their irc channel to ask if anyone knew how to fix it and other than "check your spam folder" and "did you type it in correctly" there were no responses.

I can't find and actual email address for anyone at LD.  I'd love to email them to see if they can find any of my registrations.

I partnered up with an awesome artist so I'm doing the jam. However....our game idea is a bit....ambitious.....worrying that I might no finish within the next 33 hours with school and other crap in the way T___T

Blast! I got mine mostly done. You can see it in work, but I spent too much time on certain things. Heh.

Tiny World - Ideas in the Sea of Thought

I'm definitely going to work on polishing it up and finishing it. Partially because it'll help on something else I was working on (The place my one, personal library came from for my HexMap) and because I like the idea. If I can, I'm going to try to make it a rather depressing thing, since, in essence, the point of the game is to destroy other ideas, and make those who believe in it forget it... Sort of a sad "When a person dies, there's a record, when an idea dies no one even remembers it existed) sort of thing.

I tried it was well. No luck at all. I sort of mashed on the keyboard after a bit and got nothing. Using Windows 7 and... JRE7? Maybe? I don't know.

Yeah, it's a bit difficult, but I think it's enjoyable!

It makes me think about playing Legend of Zelda in those games where you lose your sword for whatever reason.

Now works great! Is quite simple, I like it, and the music makes me laugh, dunno why xDD I've survived 11 steps..not much xD
