Hi Guys,

There's an educational design competition that recently opened and will close 12 March 2012.

Unfortunately I can't enter as I'm not a US citizen, but for those who are, this would be worth giving a try. There is a $50k prize, high profile sponsors, the competition are not great programmers and the games they make aren't dazzling at all so you guys could smash it.

Unfortunately, I can't enter because I left High School roughly 40 years ago. Oh well.

Lot's of Music Composition competitions are the same way, limited to composers under 30. But I agree it is good to give the newest generation a leg up.

I'm in high school and it looks like Java is allowed. I have no need for the laptop so I could sell it on eBay, and my school could use the money Grin
I'll probably plan to enter! Thanks for the link CommanderKeith!

EDIT: YAY!! My 1700th post on JGO Tongue

Don't worry you have only 104 post and you get your post count to 1700. Or did you mean something that was related to topic Wink

I'm not a student or an educator. Oh well. I've entered a couple contents like this before and it just gets frustrating because I don't win. Tongue A lot of work for no payoff. I'd rather just make a game for the iPhone and put it on the app store.
