  Twin Stick control alternative with keyboard & mouse  (Read 1642 times)

twin stick games are kinda fun, since you can move an shoot independently.
I'm thinking of games like Smash TV, Robotron 2084 and maybe Geometry Wars to name a newer example.

So when making a game for PC with keyboard and mouse, what control scheme do you think works best to replicate this experience ?

I would go with keyboard movement and turning/aiming in the direction of the mouse curser.

WASD for forward, back, and strafing

and Mouse for changing direction and shooting

that's how most games do it
