Hi there,

Ludum Dare 20 is bound to happen this weekend. I thought it would be the ideal oportunity for any interested person on here to check out libgdx (ya, the GC site rocks, i know!) and use LD as a kind of testing ground to check out the framework. Added benefit: cross-platform (Win, Lin, Mac, Android), Java or Scala, quite a bit of functionality and you can get a free copy of "Beginning Android Games". More info at http://www.badlogicgames.com/wordpress/?p=1801

Ciao,
Mario

I've decided to try it out since it looks like it could be really useful, i haven't tested it's capacity quite so much as i have wanted though due to trouble getting the ADV working, but im defo gonna dig more into this once i can get the ADV operational ^_^

EDIT: I managed to get my Android virtual machine working, this libgdx stuff is pretty fun to play around with! Im defo spending the night awake playing with this Cheesy Thanks Cheesy

The point of libgdx is to not having to use the emulator :p

I know, i just wanted to see if the code behaved the same way in both environments, which it did so im kinda ditching ADV now Cheesy (it won't even run on my laptop xD)

I have considered buying that book of yours since android app development was kinda fun, but i gotta wait until the end of the month since i recently ordered 2 books xD
