That might cause some aversion.
I think "In Padded Room" might be a nice variation on the theme.

Just don't change it. Who is going to take it serious? Perhaps who got awarded with it. But why did they get awarded with it? This is the question which everyone awarded with it should ask themselves. Obviously, because they used the forum for chatting. So I think the name is quite right, there is no need to change it BTW.

+1 for "In Padded Room". When I was dishonored, I was concerned about the response I'd get helping new members in the Newbie/Debugging Questions board (or worse: Trying to convince people that making a MMORPG for their first game is a bad idea on the Business/Project Discussion board, where they call you a troll even with a proper rank ). I think it hits the right point between reminding the culprits to be sensible and perhaps humiliating them a bit, while still allowing them to participate in normal discussion.

+1 for PHP developer. Maybe C# developer or even .NET developer? Punishing, but cannot be interpreted as insult

I'm sorry but what is a 'dishonored'? It's an award given to forum members who do a lot of unnecessary posts or had more activity in the chitchat monster.

Maybe you can call them JGO Incognito. (But maybe it sounds way to cool...) "Dishonorable" is a bit harsh... It is more like JGO "Lost Soul", JGO "Soul Seeker", or even JGO "Lost Sheep". It isn't someone who has lost his honor, just someone that has lost their way for a little bit trying to find their way back . Just my 2 cents.

For the happy few that are interested in the new member titles that have been in effect for the last few weeks, there is a short but complete list of added titles: - JGO Bitwise Duke (for those that excel in game-tech)
- JGO Spiffy Duke (for those that actually published proper games)
- JGO Plugged Duke
(for those that plugged their projects through ads, yielding at least $0.50)
JGO Overlord takes precedence over JGO Bitwise Duke. (it's me after all, I wouldn't take less) JGO Bitwise Duke takes precedence over JGO Spiffy Duke. JGO Spiffy Duke takes precedence over JGO Plugged Duke. JGO Plugged Duke takes precedence over ranking based on projects, posts, medals, etc. Continued listing of the 'lesser' rankings: - JGO Kernel
- JGO Wizard
- JGO Ninja
- JGO Knight
- Senior Devvie
- Junior Devvie
- Senior Newbie
- Junior Newbie
- Innocent Bystander
How these rankings are calculated will remain my dirty little secret.

The top 4 rankings are a tad arbitrary in their relative ordering, so I'm tempted to rename them... - JGO Kernel → JGO Polar Duke
- JGO Wizard → JGO Urban Duke
- JGO Ninja → JGO Rural Duke
- JGO Knight → JGO Basement Duke
Any (strong) opinions?

Any (strong) opinions? Personally I would not change what you have. At the moment you sort of have a 4 tier system going on with unique names: The Dukes (highest ranking) The JGO xxx (mid-high tier ranking) Devs (mid tier ranking) New guys (low tier ranking) Looks find to me but heh, ranks are ranks to me and I don't really judge someone by their rank.

Ah, typical Those who reached the highest rank no longer give a rats ass about their rank For everybody else it's various degrees of 'fun' to level up, right?

In light of that other thread, ChrisM should totally have JGO Founder, either as a rank or the little « ... » banner. (What's that called anyway?) ...
Any (strong) opinions?
Still seems fairly arbitrary, and I like the ninja, wizard, etc. And I always thought Spiffy was above Bitwise, huh. Although I do like BW more, nice to see that I would keep it in the incredible event I do something worthy of spiffy-ness.

Ah, typical Those who reached the highest rank no longer give a rats ass about their rank Being fair, yes. I can't even be bothered denying it. Really though, when I first joined being flagged as "newbie" made me feel like a tit, as I was not aware of how ranks were taken by people. Now that I have been here for a while, I can at least defend people that have the same concern.

- JGO Spiffy Duke (for those that actually published proper games)
I think I should have this, but I don't seem to. Is this the right place to file a bug report? (Or if I don't have it because of the plural in "proper games", I can add showcase threads for the other games I developed at Jagex. I had preferred to only show the one which I consider the best, both as a game and as an advert for Java technology).
