Use Blender or something and just export OBJ or collada files. There are a lot of open source importers for those formats.
Ty Smiley Problem not in importer, problem in my low modeling and texture skills;)
P.s I fix cow, upgrade texture think now shi looks normal =)
The problem is : that’s I sitting on forums or somewhere else ,when I should  do game Wink

Lol for 1 day I create OBB collision detection (rotated only by axis Y) and spend 2 more days
And don’t find how do normal OBB-OBB sliding collision Wink so I give up about OBB collision let mobs moves with AABB Wink

Also if you want looks far in terrain turn On in Settings “Render full” (this may add some lags Smiley but looks better)

World is really unlimited (on you 'r memory limit Smiley)
The problem in video that’s i cant draw 40k cubes at once ,so game hide them but not Delete if you travel in game far away and then come back game render same world as you left it.
Also in video world is generated dynamically so i set render distance far then generate world distance to optimize memory usage.
Easy words game need more rendering optimization ,and  right configured fog so ppl don’t see terrene generate process Smiley.

Bug fix (fix trees forgot disable debug mode for them <so they start clones, game start lags drawing 5 trees on same place)

Sorry I don’t update game, I already do light update render(work faster) and do in game voxel editor for cubes, and terrain generator without hi limit(hi limit in my game 4mil cubs ) =),say truly I do this 5 month ago, and don’t post because shi on  new rewrite test engine(for 5 month I rewrite it something like 3-5 time, so now to combine all together need some time Wink,
I work now on 2D Multiplayer FPS/RTS (all this 5 month on same engine),
I first create it for test and design AI, but now want finish 2d game, better find all bugs in 2D before go in 3D,
also I want test multiplayer, and Mod API.(I rewrite all engine for this, and that’s not end  XD)
Now do Art for game (lol I spent for it something like 2-3 month, all this time I looking easy ways to do it, but only now I understand that’s art is not important, I can draw simple pixel art then let so bite Wink, later when have free time and ppl ask me I redraw it )

Here is last screenshot it looks strange(it have some mess on map)I updating sprites Wink


5 month old not realized engine ^^

Thanks all for Read 12680 times this topic and 70 downloads.

I remember one really funny story with my project, that I want to tell:
In early version project I think that original MineCraft demo hold user world on server,
and I start looking how do same,
I find free hosting that can hold 40gb and write save system, that save player worlds on server,
In theory hi can hold 200k-400k player,
I think on that moment I find money to buy normal hosting Wink
I from early beginning do all to hold as many player as I can if they interesting in my project
(MineCraft on that moment have something like 2-3 mil register players)
But I have only 3 ppl register there, I also have forum with 0 register there =)

Goodbye all, I hope you finish yours projects.

Project Frozen.

Never give up.

Even if my project (see sig) seems to be "frozen", because I didn't throw out a new version since about 2/3 months, I never say to myself, that this project would be frozen. This way I've come several times back to my project, and worked on it. Even if it's not stable right now, I'm slowly walking towards the next release. This means, when the project has a next version up, old people come again and visit, new people come and see for the first time. Do it like goussej (sorry if I wrote your name wrong...), with TUER. 5 years. He is doing it right. He hasn't got a big community... but he HAS one.

Thx, You fully right, I love it but I tired from it,
About trees and plants, I still don't know what choose full 3D model, or maybe mini voxels,
But some plants will look terrible in voxels like grass,
but voxels give ppl ability easy create new items etc.

Or do all in 3D terrain like in wow, I don’t know Wink
I have too many misunderstandings in how next do this big project.
And we already do so many voxel project
I even start think if I realize my ppl not buy other – its so stupid
(maybe I really stupid or its laziness talking in me) ) Smiley

See I agene think about project =)

Say true I really tired from voxels I even start hate them XD (I think not only me ^^)

I want create small well know board game Monopoly, its not long but need find strength do that.
I in depression now,  I lose reason why I doing this (programming)
(I pass phase : f**k you all, and now in phase: I don’t care ^^)

I read through all the posts on this thread and am sorry to hear that you won't be working on this project anymore. I think what you've done so far is great and I really loved the videos. Honestly, my interest in developing games started a month ago after playing minecraft and my first intention was to make a similar clone. Then reality hit and now I struggle making 2D tetris style games Smiley.

And as far as hate for minecraft clones goes, it hasn't stopped Yogscast from getting a 200% funded kickstarter project:

Yeah evryone has that sometime i guess, been in this stage for multiple projects..
Maybe you could smooth all cubes out, so you would have a wow like terrain, but still able to remove blocks (so all top sides of cubes connect to the top of the side blocks, i would love to see that).
Maybe if the grass connected to each side, it looks more realistic (creating big patches of grass when connected), maybe even with rounded corners.
Imagine a game like skyrim but fully sandbox like minecraft, would be awsome right?

You should really make the game for yourself, because people do not really care about your project until it has some addictive game elements making them really want to play.
Would you have cared if the creator of minecraft was posting about his sandbox game before it existed?
I guess nobody would like the idea, whats the fun about a game without any goal and just some building blocks right?

Sorry to bring this topic to a start again but why exactly are you hosting worlds. It makes no sense at all. You can easily make an algorithim that makes a file that stores everything about a world.

Game have both, save on Pc, and save on hosting –
 *Applet version save on Hosting, and Application save in game folder.

I do it because think Notch have same (save all worlds on Hosting Wink) it was so long time ago, and I was wrong XD
