Hi,

i wasnt sure where to put this, so i went here.
Im currently searching for a data-format to save my models.
It must meet the following requirements:
1) It must support animations.
2) It must be free. (Read: No copyright restrictions aka im allowed to use it for my programs)
3) I must be able to export to it from some modelling-program (like blender).

Do you have any recommendations on what i may use?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Fox.

See this topic http://www.java-gaming.org/topics/adequate-widely-supported-3d-model-format/22780/view.html for a recent discussion about that .

I for myself have sticked to md2 for animated models and obj to static .
