I've voted Smiley

Strangely, the older games were easier to vote for.  On the more recent stuff I was pleased to see Okami (Wii) and Flower (PS3).
Missing perhaps, were the vector graphics and also the laser disc games.

"registering" is just entering an e-mail address, nothing else to do there.  It will immediately let you in.  Think about it for a sec....

Okay that was kinda easy.

Though, I was surprised that I didn't find Super Smash Bros Melee for gamecube Sad

As evil as having to choose between Earthbound, Zelda :LttP, and Chrono Trigger?  Hmmmm....

The voting has many components to it that I will draw out in the exhibition that deal with the issues of curating culture, the difficult decisions when forced into linear definitions, and how the voting system mimics mechanics found in story driven games where it seems there is choice that can effect the outcome.

Thanks to all who voted!

No fighting genre in this exhibition.  Sorry Sad

No handhelds, arcade systems, vector based (my Vectrex actually sits in the office of my day job!), etc.  We were limited to 20 systems that could best represent, in the broadest way possible, the markers for "video games", in a global sense, for the past 30 plus years.

Voted. I was a bit surprised how many of the old games I actually did not know (even though I am definitely old enough to do so). And it's true that I don't have so strong opinions on the newer games.

As good as it was, Phantasy Star 4 didn't look that great at the time.

I find the choice between Gunstar Heroes and Ranger X far more difficult. The first was a better game (and everything went together better) but the graphics in the latter looked more advanced (and I loved those 3d bits and the stuff you'd get in the background).

Edit: and Command & Conquer should have not been in the strategy section for 3 machines. The PC version is the most well known, so it should have just been there.
