Hi from a New Member

Hi everyone,
I’m new to posting on the site but have been reading for a few months, just wanted to introduce myself. I have been writing small games mainly for my own amusement for the last 25 years. I used to do most of my dev in C++ but moved to Java for a small stint now I’m back. My background was writing VGA drivers (for my own use) back in the 80's when the first clones were coming out of Asia. I’m now working on a distributed MMO Engine as a side project, Minecraft got me thinking about a distributed system.
The last 3 weeks has been a bit of a crash course in Java threads and sockets for me so I’m hoping I can learn some new tricks and teach some while here.
Most of my time is writing CMS updates for a number of company’s and peddling my hosting wares to business in Brisbane.
