I'm wondering if anyone had any experience on ads integrated into Java.
I know there are heaps for Android, but what about plain old Java? What do you do if you want to add an ad into your application?

Ah sweet, I thought that was against the rules to use Adsense in a app. I will have to give that a try when I'm ready.

Last time I checked it definitely was. Did they change the rules?

I was excited too, until I saw:
Quote
Google ads, search boxes or search results may not be:

    * Integrated into a software application of any kind, including toolbars.
Under the "Ad Placement" section of this page https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182

I'm not a lawyer so what does "Integrated into a software application of any kind" really mean?
To me it sounds like an ad can't even be displayed in a web browser but that cant' be right.

I haven't looked at this closely, but from looking at the sample code, it seems like the it is geared towards server side HTML/javascript code generation, and not really suitable for in-game ads.

You could always pop-up a browser window inside your app, but I suppose that is not very elegant.

Anyone know any others? I really don't want to be breaking Googles rules.
