Some time ago with ruben01, we started a game named Zombie Rockers, the best name ever but really really misused, the game has no zombies at all.

Description:

Zombie Rockers is an example of a match three game like Zuma, Luxor and Pirate Poppers. The objective of the game is to prevent a chain of balls of different colors rolling along a given path from reaching the end of the path. The player carries two balls that can be fired into the rolling ones. When a ball thrown by the player hits the others and form a chain of three or more balls of the same color they explode. When some balls explode this could trigger a chain reaction eliminating others. The player must eliminate all the balls to win.

Here is a screenshot:

if you want to try it,

Thanks.

ps: oh, also there are no rockers either.

Nice game!

I found that I can just shoot balls so they miss, until I get the color I want. I abused this to get 7k points on level 1. Smiley Also, on the pause menu, there are artifacts on the text.

About shooting, it was intentional, I dunno how similar games behave about this. There are some other levels where you cant do that any more, because you don't have enough space to throw away those balls.

About the text artifacts, yes, we saw that, I am currently using slick2d TrueTypeFont and it generates some artifacts, I will try changing it to use AngelCodeFont to see if it improves.

Nate, thanks for playing Cheesy

Looks really cool, but I got some trouble with my Mouse.
When I start the Game it's fine, but when I start playing I can't really move the...lets call it thing firing the balls Grin. Most of the time I can't move it at all and sometimes it does some choppy movement. Everything else is working fine.
And after I returned to the Menu my Mouse is still hidden.

I'm running 1.6.0_22 on a Macbook.

Game updated, added a level with multiple paths, highscores for each level and some kind of profile (currently working to polish last two)

I've probably played as many match-three games as I ever need to, but I thought this was rather nice.  In particular, very well presented.

My only gripe is the way that the ball disappears when it collides and then reappears in the line.  It would feel much more solid if the ball pushed its way into the line without disappearing.  But perhaps that would be more programming effort than it is worth.
