What is the purpose of this forum?

It's implied there is some formal "project proposal" process, which is pretty much inactive.

This forums seems pretty much dead to me.

Yeah I don't really know. I suppose we could get rid of it but then all these topics will be gone. Let's see what Chris has to say about it first.

Just remove all those "project processing proposoal bla bla" threads and change the description for the forum from "Give the thumbs up or thumbs down to the latest open source game technology project proposals. " to something like "Recruit members to your project or find a project to participate in."

it would not have any purpose. Those projects are from n00bs-seeking-pros, and we all know those requests are n00b-magnets => and nothing gets done. Better use the showcase threads: projects only end up there if they are 'worthy', and people can go from there, trying gather a team.

Agreed. Projects posted here are 99% of the time ideas and nothing else.
