I don't like to start flames but this question was burning my mouth. Take a look at the stats for hits and plays, this is ridiculous. And I don't like to see the vast majority of games with poor graphics.

Again, no flame here...

450 plays is something. The real problem is that the site gets no traffic, and maybe should have a slightly higher standard for what it accepts (or not, and low rated games are simply pushed to the back).

That's little compared to pro games sites. This has nothing to do with JGT, only advertising issue.

I don't see a reason to reject games. If it's a Java game, it's good for the Java Game Tome. I don't see a reason to judge games for their quality, that's what the rating system is for. But yes, advertisement is definitely lacking. On the other hand, all the top 100 games have at least 250+ hits. Sure, it is not much, but it is still free advertisement.

I am still planning on improving the JGT, but I am stuck doing other things at the moment.

Also, if I would know how to advertise, I would probably be rich by now...

Sure you can't reject a Java game, unless it breaks a rule.

Google Ad Sense? I don't know if it could drive traffic to the site but it at least generates revenues.

hmm, rakham was talking about free ads until he could fill it up. If he is still open maybe jgt could put something there. If anything it would increase spot on google(I think).

I did not know about this site until i read about it here
probably it needs more promotion and i am sure it needs a better design
although it has some good games there
