Where to Input Java commands ?

I ran across this link where they have this Mario AI competition and I wanted to execute the program. I'm not sure where to input the commands that they are showing me there.

At a command prompt (run cmd.exe if on Windows - also available under "Accessories" - , or open a terminal if on Mac OS X or Linux).

I made a batch file with the command given to me by that website which was....

java ch.idsia.scenarios.Play

Where do I have to execute the batch file exactly ?

Run the batch file from marioai\classes. Your java folder will need to be in the system path.
