Speed test for my VPS

Hello all!

Im currently running some speed/load/stress tests on a server (VPS) which is to host a java game i am writing (VP :-*that I am leasing, but I've realised that my 2Mbit/s connection is limiting how far I can actually go. If anyone is on a higher connection would they be able to assess the speed on my server for me (it would be handy if i had a 100mbit connection but unfortunatly i dont!). Here is the ip http://216.154.221.138/. If anyone does do any testing please let me know the parameters and results you might get!

You biggest problem will probably be concurrent connections.

It takes a very simple script to make 1000 connections, that will probably blow up your RAM usage, if you're using 1 thread per connection.


Besides that, there is not much to speedtest, without a large file. Try uploading one of those random binary files, named '100mb.bin' as 10MB is not really enough to speedtest, as you'll download it within 1 second with a 100mbit connection.
