Looking for a 2D probject

I'm looking for a 2D project to get more experience. I'm open to all suggestion. So if anyone is doing a 2D game and would like to work with someone else just tell me.

Btw, the community project looks very cool (especially the sandbox and the rts) but is anyone still working on it or they are just dead?

Anyone can confirm, I check the topics on the forum and no one post it in since the middle of February, there is nothing on the collaboration site. Any other place where the project continue?
