Hey, give them longer - the quality of the games this year is so good. Let's give the judges a chance to give them all a fair go. I haven't played them all yet and I've been really impressed so far. This really is a bumper crop. Go Java!
I'm judging also. I've finished reviewing nearly 2/3 of the games. It's a time consuming job, I'm lucky to review 10 games per evening. So, that's a full week every day 10 games a day. 1 minute to read the game description and instruction, 4-8 minutes playing, 4-6 minutes writing review, 2 minutes clearing the head for the next game. That's about 15 minutes per game when optimal. You take a 5 min break every 3rd game or so, so with 3 breaks that's 15 minutes. 10 * 15 + 15 = 175 minutes, or 3 hours just for 10 games.

But it's fun. As I said, I'm nearly done.
Hopefully we'll be able to recruit judges next time
