You can try the Killer Game Programming in Java book [http://fivedots.coe.psu.ac.th/~ad/jg/].
It was essentially used to teach an entire course in Java Game Programming last semester at my university.

Developing Games in Java is also a good one.  I'd recommend reading both really quick.  There the only two good general Java game programming books I've purchased, and I've purchased several bad ones.
