anyways how do you put these into a group?

i tried CheckboxGroup and that doesnt work is there a different way to do it?

if possible an example would be nice thanks!

Try using JRadioButtonMenuItem instead

And don't forget to group them in a ButtonGroup to make them mutually exclusive.
