I am reading tutorials on networking and multithreading and they have been using the buffered reader, is there a difference between the two, ive been looking for answers and havnt found much on this. What does everyone on here use? which one is better, ive read somewhere that the Scanner was newer.

differend usecases also at different levels buffered reader is quite lower level then scanner

It's harder to read code than to write it. - it's even harder to write readable code.
