Was just about going suggest the same thing. JPCT has a software and hardware render. I found it was easy to learn, and the engine is fairly light.

Im building boardgame site with Blender, Inkscape and of course with Sun Java.

im softly familiar with JOGL ( on texture level no universal 3d projects, only side shooter ),

JOGL needs signing with Applets on Opera browser, Firefox is working without signing but Opera is so popular that i drop JOGL.

so, i need help to choose a right free 3D engine to my Applets.

i was looking 3DzzD, it even loads blender files, but it is without a free license, i need a something similiar like 3DzzD.

please give guidanse to right easy/(very)fast to learn 3d engine.

hum 3DzzD is free  Huh  it may have not be when it was bringed out a cupple of years ago but nowadays it is completly free to use, and source code opensouring has been annouced in the forum for december.
