OK, seeing as no-one has posted this yet, and the company is run by a friend of mine (who has just posted on his blog - The Forge - to say he'll pay a fat referral bonus to anyone who successfully refers him someone he hires for these positions
), here goes:
1.It's essential that you relocate to San Francisco. They're a startup (well-funded, with a fat chunk of VC money), and they aim to make online games on very small budgets; they have a profitable niche/hobbyist game that they've been running for years on a shoestring budget.
Their are several positions, but generally they're looking for, ideally:
* extensive C++ and/or server-side Java expertise.
* at least 2-3 years of experience in 3d games (compensation scales with experience, of course).
* someone who's into MMOs (I believe these roles are all to work on the 3d MMO they're working on that's in the same rough area as Runescape, but with up to date graphics, content, etc)
