Transition problem to Netbean 6.1 from 6.0  (Read 2182 times)

Today installed Netbeans 6.1 on a Vista machine which had Netbeans 6.0 and the JOGL plug-in.  Said yes to copy settings found of the previous version.

When started,  any classes referencing javax.media.opengl.* have compile problems.  Installed plug-in to 6.1, and got the same jogl-runtime & jogl-project directories in the 6.1 subdirectory of .netbeans.

All code now compiles, and runs until JOGL operations, then just terminates.  The JOGL Capabilities Dialog generates the Exception below.  Does the JOGL plug-in work on 6.1, or is this a transition problem?  My 6.0 installation still works fine, and FYI I never do manual installs of JOGL outside of putting in the plug-in.

Hello AI Guy,

thank you for reporting this issue. We (cylab and me) already discussed this in icq, this is probably caused because properties are imported without the system specific deployed natives. I thought I already fixed that in the current version but it seems not :/ (the next one will have the fix)

to workaround this please remove .netbeans\6.1\config\Preferences\javax\media\opengl.properties and restart nb. This will cause re-deployment.

thank you again (I almost forgot about this one Wink).
