Hey,

We've got a terrific bunch of folks doing Jinput development and porting.  (Again mega-thanks to GP for the Mac port and Endolf for the Linux port.)

I was wondering if anyone is using it yet? Ii have half a mind to add it in to Scroller as soon as I get a chance.  I was wondering who else might be actively developing with it currently?

I am, just to get away from the crutch of AWT events - especially since they don't work well with the JOGL event loop.

If someone - anyone? - will write an overview of JInput (e.g. a good package.html might even be enough) so that I know how it fits together, I'd like to use it on a quick little game.

I could also then find out how linux + JInput feel about a laptop with a tablet, a mouse, a trackpad AND a nipple all installed and operational at once. Could be fun  Cool

malloc will be first against the wall when the revolution comes...

We're not using it in Wurm because we're relying quite heavily on AWT for the gui and so.

Can you combine the two, so you capture keypresses for the character movement via JInput, and still have normal keylisteners for the awt windows?

Play Minecraft!
