OPAL Open Physics Abstraction Layer
http://ox.slug.louisville.edu/~o0lozi01/opal_wiki/index.php/Main_Page

XPA physics layer, an C# implementation of OPAL specification.
http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=xnadevru&title=XNA%20Physics%20API%20(XPA)

Supported:
ODE  http://www.ode.org/

Development:
Novodex    http://www.ageia.com/
Newton   http://www.physicsengine.com/
Bullet   http://www.bulletphysics.com/Bullet/

Once I saw a java project trying to provide an abstraction over plug-in physics implementation. Can't find a website link anymore. Do anyone has an experience in OPAL specs and implementation. Does it make any good?

Is it something like Collada.xml file for 3d model, but instead OPAL.xml file represent physics attributes and links. Any game/animation engine supporting opal.xml could use file.

edit: no, this wiki site is not my business to fix.
