Web Start Demos doesn't start - why?

hi @all,

i use firefox or iexplorer to start the demos an the LWJGL site, but no demos starts.
no error occurs when it's loading, but nothing is do see.

WHY? 

hardware:
intel mobile cpu 2ghz and geforce4go 64 MB 512MB RAM
OS:
WinXP
Java:
1.6

have anyone of you a solution for my problem?
please help me.

probably some error thats outputtet to the console. Consider downloading lwjgl and test it via the command line.
All of the demos on the webstart/demo site is just the tests included in lwjgl_test.jar, which is part of the distribution.

starting javaws executable allows you to switch on logging - have a look into the log files after starting a demo again

thx for your fast help, but i think my hardware is not compatible with lwogl. 

i have tested the basic opengl tutorial in netbeans 5.5.1 and this exception is thrown:

kinda odd since it's a Geforce card!
Can you run other OpenGL based application or games? - Quake?

yes i can.

i can also run the jogl1.1 demos e.g. gears/applet

Nvidia cards aren't any good without proper drivers, too.

So, delspeedy... head over to Nvidia's homepage and download some drivers.

Btw "working" jogl stuff doesn't mean anything, because jogl allows software rendering by default.

yeah - software emulation might be an issues. If jogl runs, please make sure we're talking 2000-3000 fps in gears or something like that. Not 5-20

no the fps are ~150 ... 

...and there is no newer driver from nvidia, because this mobile graphiccard is no longer supported.   
...and i can't change it, because it is in a notebook.

the drivers from www.laptopvideo2go.com also does'nt work. 

i start the setup for the driver, but this error occur.
The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatile with your current hardware. Setup will now exit.
